Part of #983. Records: ADR-async-1..4. Needs #986 (checker; for the examples to compile).

To build

  1. guide/syntax.md and every guide page on concurrency: one concept, task; the policies (async, par_iter, select, supervisor, serve, async(detached)); async e and the handle forms; the failure order; h.cancel(); limit:/within: (a deadline from the start, async-3 D7); h.join(within:) as a limit on the wait, the task running on, and on_timeout: task::OnTimeout::Cancel (async-4 D14); par_iter with pausing lambdas, and a pausing fold written as map then fold (async-2 D9). The guide uses async only for the keyword (async-4 D13); a page about pausing says pause.
  2. Re-point the ADRs that name overlap, task::scope or spawn only as an example (list in #983: ADR-005, 037, 055, 100, 119, 171, 263, 280, 291, 297, 303, 306, 343, 345, 363, 382, catch-1; and ADR-326, 328, 346 for spawn).
  3. docs/language-review.md, docs/mutex-floor.md, docs/project_status_and_roadmap.md: replace overlap/task::scope/spawn examples.
  4. Regenerate tests/specification/EXPECTED.txt and COMPILES.txt after the compiler accepts the new examples.

Done already, in the specification (2026-10-30): Part I 8.1’s heading is “Pausing Without Marking Functions”, Part II 11.1’s “Implicit Pausing and the Scheduler”; the naming notes are gone.
