- Most time: the full
it run, required after a parser change: about 30 minutes, and it found one failure (agent_script). Telling whether that failure was mine took one more scratch-project run on the compiler without the fix. Second: reading the earlier run’s whole diff (about 570 lines) to sort its changes from other agents’ changes in a tree with 133 dirty files.
- Looked up: the earlier run’s leftovers, which the brief did not mention: the uncommitted fix, its debrief, its test files and its saved unfixed binary. It also did not say which modified files were that run’s and which belonged to others (
tests/compiler/nikaia.contracts and .derived are not this work). The brief’s expected 112 is wrong; the probe prints 113.
- Checks:
- Useful: the
lower-std/build/lower-std cycle, which showed no drift; the three new tests on both compilers; fmt, clippy and pre-push; parser unit tests; and the one-test rerun that cleared agent_script.
- Wasted: none outright. The full
it run caught nothing of mine, but builder-facts requires it after a parser change.
- One change: when the driver restarts a brief after an interrupted run, it should add a line saying “a previous run left the fix uncommitted, see
<debrief>; these files are its work: …”, with the path of its unfixed binary. It should also list the guards that are already red, such as agent_script’s “settings disagree”, under Red on develop now. That would have saved the diff review and the extra test run.
